by thegrok on March 9, 2010

We’ve all made bad decisions. Some personal, some professional. Intelligent people look to find lessons from these mistakes.

Interesting article on Wired about “Accept Defeat: The Neuroscience of Screwing Up” http://www.wired.com/magazine/2009/12/fail_accept_defeat/all/1

Vidal Sassoon, the famous ‘hair stylist’, was cutting a model’s hair and accidently lopped off a huge chunk.

Most of us would have screamed. Instead, he remodeled it and viola! created a new style that became all the rage.

My best bad decision was joining the society for people who always make bad decisions http://www.dilbert.com/strips/comic/2010-01-04/

My worst decision was buying a franchise when I wasn’t at my best financial state. The result was, the business didn’t go out as I planned, but I’m still managing my way to fortune from that source.

Soo true. I have made countless bad decisions but I have to say the worst thing is perhaps not making a decision at all. Sometimes you will regret not going for something more than doing it and it not working out. You only live once.

Glad to see “professional writers” aren’t afraid to rip off titles from other websites. That’s right, see the original title and essay on http://www.savethezombies.com/node/259

Sorry The Jodan. This is nothing but a coincidence. The first time I ever saw your blog was after I received your comment. Can’t say there is anything that unique about the title In fact, a search on Google brings back about 2,040,000 results.
